For the presentation, we drew together our concept idea and the research we had done supporting those first development stages. Here are the slides...Explain idea/concept
- How it relates to us as designers and djs
(linked to the music industry)
- How we were developing the idea, considering different ideas for names (building on designers who dj - more broad in terms of music genre)- How we are wanting to predominantly focus on web rather than print initially, to cut costs and boost online exposure/focus
- started discussing various platforms were it would fit into
- (screen-based as its immediacy and gives plus side of instant feedback and communication)
- A social media styled site were you can interact and explore peoples past works/bios/portfolios
- Started to consider initial layouts for the site
- choose the route of a designer or musician to start building your account for others to view and interact with.
- choose the route of a designer or musician to start building your account for others to view and interact with.

- Dylan talks about how this developed into his initial digital mockup concept.
- only dating but for musicians/designers!
- use specific algorithms based on submitted accolades to find suggested collaborators.
- costing? fuelled by ads, or take a cut? upgraded account options for money?
- Discuss how we've considered the already existing platforms for inspiration of how we'd approach the profiles and communication of either there design work or music.
- followers / feed style
- rating system like eBay - were you leave feedback and reviews.
Feedback
- "Sounds like a promising platform which could potentially create a lot of connections between all kinds of creatives, as well as freelance opportunities."
- Very keen on the concept of allowing you to build a reputation in the community based on your past collaborations with people - More responsive and interactive for users. Grows the more its used and developed.
- Need to think about how projects will require payment - is this done through our app - we take a cut for providing the service (same as Depop do) or if it is to be organised externally through links to Paypal for example?
- Had support of the idea off recent graduate Josiah Craven who also has strong ties to the music industry - he thinks it is a wonderful concept idea which he would possibly get involved with developing!
- Need to think about if we would introduce our own portfolio builder (space for project case studies/ music samples) or if we would try and get external existing platforms like Behance and Soundcloud on board to be embedded into our site - would be more straight forward for users, instead of having to re-upload and re-create their digital portfolios.
It is a strong potential concept idea, which has got a lot of loose screws which would naturally tighten through development , feedback and discussion with developers/external platforms.
