With my passions lying strongly within dance music, motion and visual illustrations / design in general I thought it might be an interesting concept to start a visual inspiration blog.
I look at the likes of:
- Researchhh - by Josiah Craven - recent grad
- Had a good catchup with Josiah at an event and discussed his blog with him.. He describes it is an endless discussion of visual inspirations, design layouts, techniques, applications. It not only creates this collection for yourself but also a platform for your own work to be featured too.
- Also builds these bridges and starts convos with admired artists.
- Visual Melt - by Leif Podhaisjky
- Most will have a presence through Instagram too - build and adapt their platform to the ease and demand of social media- Much more surrealist and weird inspirations - they can come from anywhere - be different and wacky
- Consider tone of voice of interviews and discussions
- Do I want it more professional like a commercial level blog like It's Nice That or be casual and at an approachable, discussion level for everyone to be more interactive with?
- It's Nice That
- More like a professional news blog, its daily regular, consists of these articles, interviews, artist profiles, etc - this is where it becomes more of this professional platform to be featured on as a professional creative - it means something and shows status in the design community to be shared/advertised to the wide spread community.
Other successful instagram pages to consider:

Would definitely be interesting to start my own - as a more efficient and easier means of collecting and organising what it is I am inspired by aswell as building bridges and starting conversations with those artists/ designers by reposting their work and stroking their egos a bit!
Will be a good means of learning how to use social media to really reach a broad/diverse or even direct market with interactivity and engaging content.
