602 - GIF for Email Handler - Development

I started to think about the impression I wanted to make, recorded myself doing various gestures. I then went through them and selected out individual frames from the sequence to re-create the sequence.

I considered the tone of voice (in this case mood) I wanted to give off in order to portray my confident, friendly, a little bit silly professional personality - trying to make it as approachable and amusing to get a conversation going with the subject.

*re-covered wave streams

- Dab:

- need to consider the sheer volume of frames to create this one
- needs detail and flow in the animation
- more time and effort

Best waving version:

- funny with my shirt thrown over my shoulder
- reflects recognisable characteristics of me - the orange t-shirts, checked shirts and eagle tattoo on my forearm.
- cheesey grin
- bit of body/head movement to liven it up!

- will duplicate the last two frames to give the wave effect

Started drawing from the picture - creating each layer of colour individually to be filled later

- does look pretty cool as the line-drawing

- but want it to be more striking through the use of colour
- also more reflective and representative of me
- the beginning of my brand and recognisable colour palette.

Started swabbing the rough colours from the various layers of shadows on my face to create the depth

Applied the colour and shadows to each layer - and then created the background.

- Swabbed the colour from the t-shirt
- especially as its my favourite colour and favourite t-shirt!

- beginning to try and create that unique recognisability across all my material - make it relatable to me.
