On Thursday morning I was lucky enough to attend a studio visit at a local design firm called Lord Whitney. The morning consisted of us getting to have a good look at their space and then got to listen to the talk put on by the two girls in charge.

Referring to themselves as the Connoisseurs of Make Believe, Amy Lord and Rebekah Whitney create astonishing set designs and props, including some graphics work, that are all infused with a big sense of fun. Using their now self-renovated, beautiful studio space they are enthusiastic about both their personal projects and also their client-based projects, having worked with big brands such as Barclays, Vogue and also designed the set for a Nicki Minaj music video. 

Listening to their talk they took us through their creative journey, from meeting in their last year of uni to accidentally building their empire to where it is now through designing sets and props for friends zine issues, etc. Overall, they seemed like two lovely girls and I feel quite inspired by their creative drive. I will definitely be keeping an eye out for them in industry!!
